DATE OPTIONS: 25th Oct. 26th Oct, 27th Oct, 28th Oct, 29th Oct, 30th Oct, 31st Oct, 2nd Nov, 3rd Nov, 7th Nov. The walk starts and ends at the Le Petit Bornand Bakery and take in the Pre-Alps. A top class experience ascending through the most peaceful and beautiful middle mountain terrain in the Pre-Alps. Only 45 minutes from Geneva this walk in the French pre-alps invites you to see a variety of flowers that are unmatched elsewhere, stunning limestone mountains, whether in Spring or in Summer the variety of flowers on show is usually eye wateringly emotional and the scenery is magnificent. This is a less known spot but definitely worth the effort. The walk is quite steep going up but quite easy underfoot, ongoingly stunning views and breath taking scenery so worth the effort every step of the way. It is mainly on roads and foot paths. There is a small section on a little rocky trail, and a section going down through the forest. The section in the forest is a little steep going down hill so 2 poles are essential and good trekking boots will assist you greatly if there has been a down pour of rain before, it can get slippy on the down hill in the woods so be prepared with your walking poles.
