Visit Italy from Switzerland and back in 1 day in a fabulous day out. A long beautiful walk which starts gently and then goes up hill to Italian mountain frontier, descend into Italy and go up to see the Italian Alps and Val Feny, Val Ferret and Italian glaciers and more Italian mountains in the Mont Blanc mountains, then trek around to Col Grand Ferret and Petit Ferret on this 1 day trek in unspoilt nature. Breathe in using every human sense on this 1 day trek offering rural harmony and views of glaciers and mountain tops. See animals and spectacular mountains and streams all the way up the to Swiss Italian border and glaciers on the Italian side. The snow capped mountains are visible in early summer, and flower meadows are around you in mid summer, they are beautiful as is seen on the photo above. On reaching the Italian side we cross up and around to Col Gran Ferret and contour around to Col Petit Ferret to admire the Italian glaciers and mountains before walking back down via Lechere to La Fouly. Bring your own cameras, first aid kits, water, picnic, snacks, head torch, water proofs, gloves, hat, walking poles x2 and refreshments, passport, Swiss Francs, Euros, insurance for Italy & Switzerland. This product is available as a 2 day option if you wish to sleep in a mountain alpine refuge overnight you can ask for this to be arranged. The price would be x2 and the cost of the refuge too, and all extra food & drink is excluded if the menu in the hut is insufficient for a personal appetite…or if you wish for more yoghurt, cakes or beverages. There is the option to return via the Col Grand Ferret if everyone prefers to descend via La Peule for refreshments, which is on the famous Tour Mont Blanc route so is a big trekkers stopping point enroute, but ordinarily this trip passes via Col Petit Ferret too and descends to Lechere and Val Ferret, which is beautiful but without refreshments.
